From Start-Up
to world brand

Kolonne Null is maybe the most intensive branding project I was involved so far. Beginning with inventing the name I was able to be part of this ride since day zero, since 2018 until now!

Having first of all two friends with me on the table, becoming clients on the way was a journey of learning as it normally is the opposite way, when clients eventually become friends.

Kolonne Null produces alcohol-free premium wines and set the stage of a new category. Making alkohol-free wine acceptable and furthermore demandable in society, starting in Berlin but nowadays reaching out over tokyo, sydney, new york and many other cities all around the world.

Step 1 - The Name

The first day was not a business meeting, but a meeting with friends, telling me their idea, of having a drink to still drink, after two days of drinking. This is how all began. As I knew from the favorite magazine Brand Eins, it was founded in their Office, Brandstraße 1 ... so if alcohol-free wine has zero alc, and we are sitting in a flat in Kolonnenstraße .. Kolonne Null sounds about right.

While in her hospital room, Diego is standing outside looking through the door window and can hear the entire conversation because he has super hearing.

While the nurse isn’t watching Diego looks at her chart...
